A conceptual, inner space landscape of emphysemic alveoli, highlighting collapsed bronchioles and damaged alveolar air sacs. The inner walls of the alveoli air sacs rupture and create enlarged air sacs, resulting in inefficient oxygen exchange and diminished respiration. Temple Lung Center is a national leader in diagnosing and treating lung disease. A conceptual illustration of emphysemic changes in alveoli was desired for marketing purposes to both patients and the medical community for use on cover and inside of print and online magazine Temple Lung Center Updates in Research and Practice, Fall 2023 for article featuring "Destination Temple: Lung Volume Reduction Surgery Attracts Patients Nationwide."
